Algeria

History
Les Fennecs is a nickname for the team Algeria will participate in the 32-team FIFA World Cup 2014 in brazil.  Algeria was founded on January 1, 1962 and joined FIFA on January 1, 1964. Algeria has attended the largest soccer event in the world in 1982, 1986, 2010 and 2014. Algeria also has been a champion of Africa Cup in 1990, when they hosted the tournament. They are down since the 1982 Edition in Spain, beating West Germany 2-1 in their opening match. Despite a 3-2 win over Chile in their last group match, a 2-0 defeat of Austria make their previously peaked at three groups and have the same points with second place. They then knocked out due to goal difference. World Cup Mexico 1986 also less impressive for the North African team. Incorporated in Group D with Brazil, Spain and Northern Ireland. Algeria's two defeats and one draw that made them the first team to be eliminated from the competition.

Algeria's efforts towards Brazil 2014
After the South Africa 2010 World Cup and the CAF Cup appearances in Africa to 2013. Algeria does not look smooth over difficulties in their journey to Brazil 2014. They won five of six games on their groups with ease after previously estimated Mali, Benin and Rwanda will be difficult opponents. After reaching the play-off finals, Algeria is not very lucky with the draw against Burkina Faso, Africa with a surprising team was runner-up at the AFCON 2013. Algeria lost the first leg 3-2 penalty shootout as it gets on the end of the game, but finally Algeria locks one place in Brazil with a 1-0 victory at home to Algeria which gives them the advantage of away goals. Algeria has been drawn in Group H with Belguim,Russia and South Korea.
